They devise a plan to prevent British reinforcements from reaching Dublin by train, in an effort to allow their comrades to strike a blow that would be heard worldwide and would herald the beginning of the Irish journey to independence. This dramatisation of real events is a story about family, friendship and freedom. On orders from Pearse, a group of men from Co. Louis strike out on the Easter weekend of 1916 to derail a train of British soldiers bound for Dublin. This is their story.
